Corten Steel Planter Box

Weathering steel that forms its own finish. No paint, no oil, no seasonal fuss.

Four corten planters of different sizes nested together outdoors, weathered to an even rust brown, the largest planted with three shrubs.
The same four rectangular corten planters empty and nested, showing the range of lengths and the folded top edge.
The supplier's weathering chart: corten colour at 0.5 months, 1.5 months, 6 months, 2 years and 5 years, going from orange to dark brown, with a service-life comparison of mild steel 2 to 3 years, corten 30+ years and painted steel 8+ years.

Will it fit?

Give the space you have. We check it against this product’s recorded dimensions — nothing is estimated.

Corten is a weathering steel. Left outside, the surface forms a tight oxide layer that seals the steel underneath and stops the rust going deeper. That layer is the finish, which is why the planter needs no paint and no treatment for its whole life — and why painting it removes the corrosion resistance, by preventing the protective film from forming.

Made from 2 mm steel throughout, with folded edges, spot-welded assembly, and a 2 mm base with drainage holes.

Eleven standard sizes from a 400 mm cube to 2000 x 600 x 500 mm. The colour keeps moving for roughly eighteen months before it settles.
